Huws Gray’s recent 25th anniversary evening proved to be an enjoyable affair, raising nearly £4,000 for the company’s nominated children’s hospices.

More than 100 guests, including suppliers, were treated to a night full of fun and entertainment at The St. David’s Park Hotel at Ewloe in Flintshire.

Guest speaker was ex-Wales football international Mickey Thomas, who had the audience in raptures with his on and off-field anecdotes about his colourful and successful professional career with clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Wrexham.

A charity auction followed Mr Thomas, with items including a signed Diego Maradona football shirt donated by Marshalls and VIP tickets at Old Trafford donated by Encon Insulation. The auction generated a great deal of interest and raised significant and essential funding for the hospices.

The evening ended in style as comedian, Gary Skyner filled the room with laughter with jokes-a-plenty.

Helen Carlson, corporate development manager at Claire House Children’s Hospice, was delighted with the evening. She said: "I would like to thank Huws Gray for a lovely evening, and to all the guests who were very generous in the special auction. The support Huws Gray has given and will continue to give throughout its 25th anniversary is simply fantastic.”

Chris Roberts from Huws Gray’s marketing department added: “We would like to thank all our suppliers for their on-going support throughout this special 25th anniversary year, as well as supporting our celebration dinner.”
