Sales of PVC-U windows and doors have increased at independent builders’ merchant Joseph Parr following a two-day event using Crystal Direct’s ‘CESAR’ exhibition vehicle, the merchant says.

CESAR, the Crystal Exhibition Showroom And Representation vehicle, is said to have helped Joseph Parr attract £120,000 worth of orders in six weeks following the visit.

Dave Anderson, Joseph Parr managing director, said: “There’s an untapped market for PVC-U windows and doors. We’ve seen interest grow since we started buying from Crystal and we’re getting new customers all the time. We didn’t sell PVC-U before – now we sell lots.”

National Merchant Buying Society members can hold their own open days, product launches or customer initiatives using CESAR free of charge.

Crystal also provides free marketing and point-of-sale materials that can be personalised for individual builders merchants.
