A team of workers at Sektor, CCF’s range of interior solutions products, has raised £1,095 for the Alzheimer’s Society after taking part in the Great Manchester Run, Europe's biggest 10km event.

The team of four, whose efforts will go towards improving the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, set off from Manchester City Centre on 10 May. They passed landmarks such as Old Trafford, The Lowry and the Imperial War Museum, before crossing the finish line near Beetham Tower on Deansgate.

Steve Crompton, Sektor sales director and Great Manchester Run participant, said: “It was a great experience to complete the run and receive so much support from our colleagues across the Sektor and CCF network.

“To make it to the finish line and raise these vital funds for our nominated charity is just fantastic. We can’t wait to do more to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with dementia and by the people who care for them.”

Ray Nash, senior regional fundraiser at Alzheimer’s Society, said: “I would like to say a big thank you to all at Sektor who took part in this event and raised money in support of Alzheimer’s Society. £1095 is a fantastic amount.

“We rely heavily on the kind support of Charity partners such as CCF and Sektor and their employees to make sure we can support those affected by dementia and their carers. A big well done to those involved.”

The CCF branch network, alongside Sektor, will be taking on further fundraising activities in 2015 in aid of Alzheimer’s Society, including the Borrowdale Challenge.
