Tim Vine has been announced as the host for the 2015 Builders’ Merchants Awards for Excellence. The actor, presenter and comedian, twice winner of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival funniest joke prize, will entertain guests and present Awards at the ceremony.
The Awards lunch will be staged on 20 November, 2015, at the Lancaster Hotel, London, rewarding the professionalism and good business practice of builders' merchants. It will also provide a chance for industry figures to network with their peers.
Mr Vine was co-star and co-writer of BBC1’s sitcom Not Going Out alongside Lee Mack. He has appeared in the Royal Variety Show as well as shows including QI, Room 101 and Countdown.
In 2004 he broke the world record for the most jokes told in an hour with a total of 499.
