JELD-WEN has announced Jewson sales manager Adam Sibley as the winner of its £500 SuperBreak voucher competition, run in partnership exclusively with Builders’ Merchants News.

The manufacturer of timber windows, doors and stairs ran the competition earlier this year.

It said it wanted to celebrate its 'one call solves it all' initiative, a free stairs measuring service for merchants.

Selling stairs can be a daunting task for merchants, as any errors in measurement can be costly to the customer and have a negative impact on a project, the company says.

To solve this problem, JELD-WEN offers a free stairs measuring service for made to measure staircase enquiries to help merchants make the most of stairs sales, and remove the stress of sizing up staircases.

Mr Sibley, who works across the country for Jewson, said: “I work regularly with JELD-WEN, so the introduction of the free stairs measuring service has been well received by both the branch and our customers.

“It always feels good to be a winner and I’ll be sharing this prize with my family by taking my two young children away to a theme park.”

JELD-WEN’s 'one call' scheme takes full responsibility for stair measurements, aiming to take away the hassle from the builder. The company says it also gives merchants the confidence to push stairs sales as they know that there is no risk to them or their customer.

Merchant customers can get a free on-site survey and measuring service anywhere in the UK by calling a local stair technician, as well as benefit from expert advice and product information, JELD-WEN says.
