RGB Building Supplies held a #Shirt2Work charity breakfast morning across a number of its branches on 30 October and is delighted to have raised over £2,000 for Prostate Cancer UK.

RGB staff served breakfast and made a £2 donation to wear their favourite football or rugby shirt for the day, as well as challenging their customers to join in and also don their team’s colours.

The Exeter branch also held silent auctions to win signed Exeter Chiefs and Exeter City FC shirts.

Prostate Cancer UK is the official charity partner of The Football League. The #Shirt2Work campaign aims to raise awareness and vital funds to enable the charity to continue its research and provide much needed support for men affected by the disease and their families.

Keith Harris, product and marketing manager at RGB Building Supplies, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to raise this amount of money and I would like to thank all our staff for supporting the event with such enthusiasm and our customers for their generous donations. Prostate Cancer UK is our chosen charity and we will be continuing to host fundraising events to boost our total.”

James Beeby, director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “What RGB Building Supplies has done for Prostate Cancer UK is a fantastic demonstration of what we call Men United; people coming together to fight this terrible disease. They have not just raised money, but have raised awareness of the disease too. We would like to thank everybody involved in achieving this generous donation.”
