Stonemarket took its new products for 2016 on the road this year to see as many builders' merchants, garden designers and contractor customers as possible.

Previously the annual Stonemarket event took place in Ryton, Coventry, but this year the team decided to travel to six venues across England, Scotland and Wales, taking the company's offer to its customers.

Hundreds of guests attended over the course of the Stonemarket Road Show, being given the opportunity to ask questions about the new range of products for 2016, the Stone Standard, and the patented NEXTPave paving system.

Geoff Moulton, Stonemarket's trading director, said: "This year we wanted to make it easier for our customers to attend, which meant hitting the road and travelling around the country to showcase what we have to offer for 2016. I'm pleased to say that this was a resounding success, and the 2015 Road Show saw a significant increase in attendees - more than treble that of last year.

"The reaction to our new products for 2016 has been fantastic, including our exciting range of natural products, sourced from all over the world."

He added: "The demonstration of our patented NEXTPave system brings innovation to two of our well loved Millstone and Yorkstone product ranges, by dramatically speeding up the installation time and improving the finished look of projects. This was particularly well received by our contractor members.

"The introduction of seminars was also popular, providing the opportunity to understand the Stonemarket 'Stone Standard' and our wish to drive the appreciation of product quality as part of a domestic project.

"I would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit one of the road shows for making them a great springboard for the coming year."

Justin Falkingham, sales representative at Ridgeons Ltd, said: "The presentation on 'Stone Standard – Exceeded' was not only informative but left me with a sense of confidence that will allow me to recommend the Stonemarket product portfolio to both new and existing customers. The new products for 2016 provide a comprehensive blend of aspirational and traditional products and I can't wait for the 'Knotwood' to come to market."

Richard Would, branch director for MKM Dereham, added: "I would just like to say how much I enjoyed the Stonemarket Roadshow held recently at Stoke-by-Nayland. It is always nice to get to see Stonemarket's new products in a calm environment where you have the time to really appreciate them.

"All of the Stonemarket representatives were very attentive and helpful and keen to offer advice. I have bored many people with my Stone Standard Testing Kit since then, but the key is that when you use it people remember and have a much better understanding."
