Symphony has appointed Robert Newton as head of marketing of its retail and building division marketing teams.

Working with group marketing director, Simon Collyns, Mr Newton will manage Symphony’s portfolio of brands including its Gallery, Linear and recently launched Laura Ashley kitchen brands, as well as Urbano Bedrooms and Aquadi Bathroom brands.

The appointment is made as Symphony continues to strengthen the presence of its brands across all of its market sectors and looks to the future growth of the business.

Mr Newton joined Symphony in 2010 and in his previous role as marketing manager gained a wide experience of both retail and building markets sectors, as well as Symphony’s range of products and brands.

Commenting on his promotion, Mr Newton, said: “This is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to the new challenge of leading the team through this exciting period in the company’s evolution.
