An on-site beach, a juice bar, and ‘Keith Lemon’ were just some of many talking points at Jewson’s first live event, which welcomed over 1,750 attendees.

Jewson Live was the first annual trade show for the builders’ merchant, which saw the launch of two new initiatives to help customers make the most of 2016 and beyond.

One of the first reward programmes for the national merchant industry, Juice by Jewson is an ongoing points-based initiative that offers exclusive discounts, deals and rewards including holidays, sports tickets and the latest tech gadgets. Celebrity Juice host Keith Lemon showed his support by handing out plenty of juice, quite literally, and posing for a selfie at any opportunity. Bonus points were also provided to any customers who registered on the day.

Also unveiled was Foundation Plus, a new cash account to help the next generation of the construction industry. Available to newly qualified tradespeople, apprentices and students, Foundation Plus also offers its own discounts, with added support and advice.

Over 160 leading construction brands were on-hand to discuss the latest product innovations and industry updates, while Martin Taylor, commercial director LABC, Nathaniel Cooke, project manager, CITB, and television interior designer Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen, took to the stage for seminars.

David Fenton, marketing director for Jewson, said: “We had fantastic feedback from the event, with everyone commenting on the atmosphere at the show. Many attendees may not have been aware of the entire range of products and services available from Jewson, so it was great to be able to showcase this in one place.

“We hope that every person who attended came away from the show feeling reinvigorated and ready for 2016. The combination of education, involvement and entertainment proved to be the perfect balance – we’re delighted with the overall success of the event.”

Jewson Live took place on 16 December, 2015 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Dates for Jewson Live 2016 will be confirmed later this year.
