Travis Perkins Managed Services has won Most Innovative Supplier in the 2016 Housing Innovation Awards, beating four other short-listed companies to the title.

Managing director Stuart Hough said: “We are absolutely delighted to win this Award. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do because this is not a one size fits all business. While the broad offering is around supply chain streamlining every customer is different and we have to be able to adapt to offer innovative tailor-made solutions. That means that we are always exploring new ideas and making them work.”

The Housing Innovation Awards, run by Excel Publishing, highlight examples of inventive and original schemes and services in the UK housing sector in 15 categories. In the Most Innovative Supplier category judges are looking for suppliers who are helping their customers drive down costs without compromising on quality and who work collaboratively to help them become more efficient and to reduce their carbon footprint.

As part of Travis Perkins, Managed Services offers tailored solutions to public sector organisations throughout the UK to reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of their maintenance and repair procedures. It launched its first partnership in 2004 to supply materials for Wrekin Housing Trust, providing major savings through non-branded partnership stores. Now it works with housing associations, local councils, educational institutions and NHS Trusts to manage and supply their maintenance teams, both in-house or contract based.
