Northern Ireland’s bathroom, heating and tile company, Bassetts, has announced major growth milestones, including new store openings, showroom expansions and reinvestment in the company following a period of significant growth.

According to managing director Alan Wright, the expansion reflects the company’s continued strong performance in the bathroom, heating and tiling sector and optimism for 2016. Following a period of substantial development, Bassetts recently announced the opening of its 14th store in Northern Ireland in the heart of Belfast’s thriving Boucher Road retail village.

The company has also considerably invested in design technology with the Bassetts Visualiser – an interactive touchscreen-based software and the first of its kind in Northern Ireland; allowing homeowners to imagine, design and visualise their own unique room setting and choose from hundreds of wall and floor tiles for bespoke bathroom and tile solutions.

Mr Wright said: “Despite the difficulties that many national retailers may be facing in the home improvement market, our bathroom, plumbing and heating business has gone from strength to strength. We believe this is down to our increasing investment into the company, as well as our unique approach and personalised service to both our trade and retail customers.

“With the number of new homes being built up by almost 50% in Northern Ireland, we are committed to offering our trade customers an expanded range of options and to plug the gap in offering stylish and affordable heating and plumbing solutions for new builds. As we look to the year ahead, we plan to build on our product offering throughout our extensive branch network in Northern Ireland and continue this upwards growth trend through investment in both our branches and our people.”
