Linde Material Handling has reported record sales figures, increasing revenue from €3,077.2 million in 2014 to €3,429.8 million in 2015. The company processed 100,000 truck orders last year – the highest ever in the company’s 136 year history.

The 100,000th order was made by Kronospan, a family-owned Austrian business with 14,000 employees and 40 locations worldwide, which bought three new heavy electric forklift trucks for its Spanish locations: Burgos and Salas de los Infantes, where it operates a production line for melamine-faced panels. A total of 15 industrial trucks with load capacities of between 2.5 and 12 tonnes are used at the sites to transport wood fibre packages up to six metres long and 2.5 metres wide.

Carlos Navarro, sales manager at Kronospan said: “We chose electric forklifts for the first time because they are clean and quiet in operation, whilst offering almost the same performance capacity as diesel trucks. Linde trucks are safe, reliable, efficient, and have also helped us to increase productivity.”
