Ridgeons has raised over £2,000 during Macmillan Cancer Support’s Go Green Week. Employees and customers from the company’s 26 branches took part in the fundraising week to support Macmillan, Ridgeons elected charity of 2015-2017.

Throughout the week, several fundraising activities took place within Ridgeons’ branches, including raffles, cake sales, guessing games and staff fancy dress. Local businesses contributed prize donations to the branches throughout the week, such as food and drink giveaways, fruit hampers and vouchers.

The Ridgeon Group had recorded a first year total of £15,254 for Macmillan Cancer Support. This latest fundraising effort from the company ensures the £20,000 target donation for the two-year partnership is firmly on track.

Gordon Ridgeon, PR director of the Ridgeon Group, said: “I am thrilled with the response from both customers and staff during this year’s Macmillan Go Green Week. This is a fun, positive way to get everybody involved and contribute to a great cause. I would like to thank the local businesses who donated prizes; their support has been invaluable.”
