SIG Roofing’s search for Britain’s Best Cafe – organised to recognise the value local cafes throughout the UK bring to their community – went rocking and rolling in Wolverhampton city centre recently as part of the competition.

Cafe customers and shoppers were treated to a spirited dance to the classic 80’s hit, We Built This City on Rock & Roll by a team of dancing chefs in their fun flash mobs.

Among the crowds providing support and ‘throwing a few shapes’ with enthusiasm, were staff from SIG Roofing branches in Dudley, Birmingham and Telford who have been supporting the promotion.

Marketing manager Janine Brady says that besides all the fun of the campaign there is a serious purpose in the competition.

“Our customers use a lot of energy in the average working day and they really enjoy a great cafe to meet and eat. Whether it’s a quick break for a bacon buttie or a big breakfast to start the day, a tasty lunch or just a mug of proper tea – our customers are some of the local cafes’ biggest fans. This competition lets us show the cafes how much they mean to us, our customers and the local community.”
