Homeowners in Northern Ireland are spending approximately 150% more on bathrooms than a decade ago and the market continues to grow, according to customer data from Bassetts.

Reflecting this market growth, Bassetts has significantly invested in its now 15-strong branch network across Northern Ireland, announcing that it has acquired Ballymena-based Clady Plumbing Supplies.

Bassetts has reportedly experienced continued growth, which has enabled investment of over £500,000 in its Northern Ireland branches over the past 12 to 18 months, which includes the opening of a new showroom-only branch in Boucher Crescent.

Bassetts’ managing director Alan Wright said: “Eight to 10 years ago, our customers were spending around £1,500 on a bathroom. In 2016, the average spend is approximately £4,000 which is reflected by our growth over the last decade and extensive offering of products.”
