Following months of preparation, a five-year logistics supply partnership between Eddie Stobart and Aggregate Industries has gone live.

Aggregate Industries and Eddie Stobart signed the new five-year contract – which will see the multimodal haulier deliver loads for the concrete products division – in late spring. By bringing Eddie Stobart on board, Aggregate Industries reports it will be able to provide a more personalised and flexible service to meet its customers’ ever-changing needs.

As well as purchasing a new fleet of safer and more technologically advanced mechanical offload trailers and EN-XL curtainsiders, Eddie Stobart has staffed a brand new traffic office centred around the new work and has created numerous specialist driving roles. As part of the contract, Aggregate Industries will also benefit from a dedicated team of driving, operations, customer service and HSEQ staff, plus its own partner haulier operations desk.

Simon Marriott, concrete products director at Aggregate Industries, said: “We’re excited that our new partnership with Eddie Stobart has commenced. We’ve spent the last few months gearing up for the changeover and, now the trucks are on the road, our customers will start to see the benefit of this partnership, including a more flexible and safer service.”
