Plumb Center has launched a dedicated commercial plumbing and heating section on its website, designed to make life easier for installers looking for commercial-grade products and advice.

The site, which features more than 2,500 products and growing, has been launched in response to customers asking for more sector-specific products to be all in one place. The hub also allows Plumb Center to collate the branch network’s knowledge and commercial insight into one, regularly updated hub with best practice advice on the following sectors; education, healthcare, hotels and leisure, office and retail, security, and sports and fitness.

For example, the education section includes information on how to save money on water bills through the Water Technology List, the sport section includes facilities guidance on sanitary provisions, while healthcare has key facts and stats on hygiene and infection control. The site will also host case studies so that visitors can immediately see where organisations have benefited from the products displayed.

With more products added to the site all the time, installers and contractors can log in to see technical details, sector specific information and view their closest commercial branch and account manager if they require. Customers will be able to benefit from online ordering on a computer, tablet or smartphone.

Richard Redfern, category director for plumbing at Plumb Center, said: ”Venturing into new sectors is challenging enough, without having to trawl through a large database of products to find which ones are right for the job. Our new commercial hub allows you to search by application rather than product, which is fast and simple.

“We are working to evolve the content and aim to bring sector specific brochures, extend the product range, add content and videos relevant to the commercial sectors and to provide training and explanations of the relevant specifications and regulations that guide commercial product decisions.”
