Karndean Designflooring has introduced a new brand and easy-fit product portfolio designed specifically for the building trade, as part of its wider growth plans.
Palio by Karndean presents three – Palio Clic, Palio Core and Palio LooseLay – luxury flooring ranges for the trade to fit, with familiar click locking and loose lay fitting formats and a wide range of realistic designs.
Investing heavily in its new standalone Palio trade brand, Karndean has created a suite of dedicated point-of-sale (POS) material, marketing literature and display floors to support its UK-wide merchant trade partners, as well as a national trade support team and striking new website complete with ‘how to’ videos.
“Since entering the merchant trade over 18 months ago, we’ve seen for ourselves the success our merchant trade partners are having with our easy-fit Palio Clic and LooseLay,” explained Matthew Brown, National Trade Manager of Karndean Designflooring.

“Importantly, it opens up popular luxury vinyl floor designs to the trade alike, who can offer the same Karndean quality without the worry of specialist installation or extensive subfloor preparation.”
Following the success of its click-locking Palio Clic collection in the trade, new Palio Core introduces eight wood (1220mm x 179mm) and four stone (600mm x 307mm) designs, with a rigid core construction, meaning it can be installed over more uneven and existing subfloors including ceramic, parquet and floorboards, without imperfections appearing underfoot.
With a 6.5mm thickness and acoustic foam backing, Palio Core reduces noise transfer to rooms below up to 19dB, without the need for underlay. Ideal for multi-storey homes, apartments and flats including playrooms, home offices and loft conversions.
Palio LooseLay offers a loose lay format with a unique friction grip backing and increased dimensional stability securing the floor firmly in place without the need for adhesives in many installations.
