Kent Blaxill has opened its new 3,500 sq ft store on Erica Road, Stacey Bushes Trading Centre in Milton Keynes.

The family firm has over 175 years' experience in working with both professional and DIY home markets, and provides a wide range of decorating products. The Mayor of Milton Keynes, David Hopkins, joined the Kent Blaxill team to officially cut the ribbon.

The new branch continues the Kent Blaxill tradition of supplying some of the industry's finest names. This includes an extensive range of paints and related products, with a strong focus on designer paints including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint and Paper Library, Mylands, Designers Guild, Fired Earth and Zoffany, as well as trusted trade brands such as Dulux, Crown and Armstead. Professionals can also enjoy a daily decorative materials delivery service.

Simon Blaxill, Managing Director of Kent Blaxill, said: “The new Milton Keynes branch is a great location for us and the next logical step when extending our branch network. Kent Blaxill always wants to open branches where the community is vibrant and growing.

Tony Altieri, Manager of the new Milton Keynes branch, added: "We are excited to be creating four new jobs initially with two full-time and two part-time posts. Kent Blaxill always looks to employ the very best staff for every branch as our industry knowledge is what sets our service apart."

While the merchant’s products are aimed at the decorating professional, it also wants to attract a discerning retail customer to the branch who is looking to source the best products for their home.

Simon continued: “Our staff have a superb understanding of what today's customers need and offer expert advice on products and services, including ‘brush-out’ boards to help customers decide on the perfect colour.

“It is really important for us to continue the ethos of our family firm which focuses heavily on building relationships with customers by offering service, quality and value, and we look forward to building a strong relationship with Milton Keynes.”
