Rudridge will be donating the money they would normally spend on Christmas cards and postage to charity, and giving their customers and suppliers a fun free ‘game of groans’ to play.

This will be the third consecutive year Rudridge has chosen to donate funds instead of sending Christmas cards. The company have announced this year’s beneficiary will be the Lighthouse Club, a charity that provides financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families who have suffered an injury or long-term illness or simply need a helping hand.

The online game is inspired by Rudridge’s support of the Ultimate Strongman Giant Weekend in August where the coveted titles of UK’s Strongest Man and Master World’s Strongest Man are fought for annually.

The Strongman Truck Pull game allows individuals to compete as previous UK Strongest Man champions Glenn Ross or Eddie Hall, and they are tasked with pulling a truck along a course. Unlike Strongman competitors though, intense training and a diet comprising 9,000 calories a day isn’t required to participate online.

Darren Price, Group Operations Manager at Rudridge, said: “We have been donating to charity instead of sending traditional Christmas cards for three years now. Choosing the Lighthouse Club as our good cause this year was simple due to the incredible work they do to help people in our industry. The online truck pull is a way we can thank everyone we work with and give them a cracker of a game to pull this year.”
