Thanks to its commitment to responsible sourcing of materials, Tobermore has earned a top industry accreditation.

The landscaping products manufacturer is “delighted” to have been awarded the BES 6001 accreditation from the British Standards Institute.

As Tobermore’s headquarters in Country Londonderry there is a rainwater harvesting system, and wind turbines and solar panels that generate electricity. It also recycles and reuses its concrete waste.

BES 6001 can be awarded to any organisation that manufactures construction products from foundation products such as cement and steel to concrete pipes and blocks, windows, flooring, roof tiles, plastics, wood products, as well as retailers of construction products.

The Building Research Establishment, which is a building science research and training centre, has now added Tobermore to its Responsible Sourcing League Table of compliant companies as part of the certification.
