A new Non-Executive Chairman with a “wealth of experience” has joined the Crystal Clear Group.

Tim Allen, who recently retired as Chairman of the National Merchant Buying Society, will be taking on the role from 1 September.

Allen has experience as a Non-Executive Chairman and Finance Director at companies both in the UK and abroad.

He also spent 20 years at Williams Holdings, where he was Director of Finance, responsible for more than £2 billion of acquisitions and £3 billion of disposals.

The Crystal Clear Group, which supplies PVC-U and aluminium windows, door and conservatories, says his newly created position “reflects the group’s continued growth and future direction”.

Current Chairman Martin Randall will now assume the role of CEO.

Allen said: “I’m delighted to be joining Martin Randall and the Crystal Clear Group.

“Crystal has achieved a great deal in recent years, enabling merchants to build their share of a significant and valuable market, and I’m looking forward to helping Crystal continue to build on that foundation.”
