Elliotts Builders Merchant has sponsored the new community changing room at Eastleigh Football Club.

The Southampton branch donated materials including timber, MDF and paint to help the football club provide a new changing space for their walking football, PAN disability and ladies football teams.

The new changing facility will provide a much-needed space away from the main changing rooms, which are in full-time use by the First Team. Having once used classrooms and old garages to change in, the Eastleigh Walking Football team volunteered their time to transform the new space, with the support of local builders.

Branch Manager Richard Sheath (pictured right) said: “We are really pleased to have been able to support Eastleigh Football Club and provide the materials needed to complete their new changing facility.

“There is a strong sense of community at the club which we are proud to be a part of.”

Kenny Amor, Chief Executive at Eastleigh Football Club, (pictured left) said: “Opening the Elliotts Community changing room is a massive boost for the club. We are striving to be a football hub for the Eastleigh community but have struggled with facilities on site.”

“Elliotts in Southampton were more than happy to get involved with this great cause and they have been first class in supplying and delivering the materials we needed to complete this dressing room. We could not have finished this changing room without their support and we are very grateful to them and all the volunteers who gave up their time to help us.”
