ACO Water Management will sponsor local four-cross mountain bike talent, Connor Hudson, for the upcoming 2019 season.

Four-cross is a form of mountain bike racing in which four riders compete to complete a BMX-style downhill track in the fastest time.

Hudson, 22, undertakes the majority of his training at Chicksands Bike Park which is just a few miles from ACO’s UK head office in Shefford.

ACO will sponsor Hudson for the first time in the 2019 season, which will see him compete in a number of races both throughout the UK, and on the international circuit, with a view to adding to a number of wins he has already picked up in his short career.

Hudson said: I’ve grown up in and around Shefford, and do the bulk of my training at Chicksands Bike Park, so to receive the support from ACO, one of the biggest companies in the region, is a great feeling.

“2019 is shaping up to be an exciting year for me and I’m keen to really push on and see how far I can go.”

Oliver Collins, Building + Landscape Marketing Manager at ACO Water Management, said: “Connor is a prodigious local talent who is really starting to make a name for himself at a national level.

ACO has been based in Shefford for over 35 years, and supporting the local community is a huge part of the company’s ethos, so we are delighted to be able to play a small part in helping a local lad work towards realising his dream on the international stage.”

“On behalf of everyone at ACO, I’d like to wish Connor the very best of luck for the season ahead.”
