SHEFFIELD: TR Engineering has announced that they have acquired the assets from former heating company Trianco Heating Products.

Famous for brands such as Aztec electric boilers, Contractor oil and more recently Activair airsource heat pumps, Trianco recently went into administration after facing trading difficulties which brought shock to the industry.

TR Engineering (backed by the Mountcity Group) was successful in its bid after interest was received from the Administrators by several companies to acquire the assets. The company now intends to move forward with production of the existing heating ranges which will complement the multi fuel stove and oil tank business it intends to grow.

TR Engineering intend to carry on with the goal of bringing renewable energy within reach of every household by holding price on the competitive range of Activair air source heat pumps (ASHPs) as well as producing the renowned Aztec electric range, oil and solid fuel boilers to the same standards as its famous predecessor.

A spokeswoman for the company said. “This is an exciting time for TR Engineering to move forward with an extensive and renowned range of heating products.

"We see it as a positive conclusion to the unfortunate demise of Trianco Heatimg Products and we will endeavour to continue driving the brands and products as well as strengthening the business with plans for gradual expansion and increased workforce.”
