PORTSMOUTH: A prolific thief who targeted B&Q as well as other stores has been jailed for nine months.

Stephen Mills, arrested after he stole £800 of mobile phones from the Westbury Mall in Fareham, also admitted trying to steal lighting equipment from B&Q in Purbrook Way, Havant.

Mr Mills, of Celia Close, Waterlooville, admitted two charges of theft at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court. The 33-year-old, who had ignored community orders in the past, also admitted breaching a conditional discharge previously given.
