UK: “I will honour Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year,” wrote Charles Dickens, an admirable sentiment shared by many in the construction and property industry whose support of CRASH enables hundreds of homeless people across the country to benefit from a safe, welcoming shelter regardless of which day it is.

This year CRASH has received a record number of requests for help from homelessness charities throughout the UK for help to improve emergency night shelters, hostels, day centres and move-on accommodation. This demand is reflected in Government figures which showed a 23% increase in the number of people sleeping rough in England. The worst affected area is London where people seen sleeping on the streets of London rose 43% on the previous year.

As an industry we provide the homes, offices, infrastructure and jobs our society needs. Through CRASH, our industry can help those who have lost their place in our society to rebuild their lives.

Homelessness is not just an issue at Christmas; it is reality for thousands of vulnerable people in our communities every single day of the year.

Through CRASH, your support can make a real, practical difference not just this year, but for years to come by helping construct, refurbish and develop buildings needed by frontline homelessness agencies to deliver services to those most in need.

CRASH receives no Government funding. As the industry charity it is supported by companies and individuals within the construction and property sector. CRASH provides on-site professional expertise through its patron partners to homeliness charities, sources building material free of charge from our patron and supporting companies and awards cash grants.
