Thirty employees from MKM Building Supplies will take part in the fight to be the fastest firm on Sunday 19 May, when businesses in East Yorkshire face the Jane Tomlinson Hull 10k running event. Around 300 people are expected to participate in the corporate challenge.
Mark Smith, financial director at MKM, said: "We're proud of our Yorkshire roots and one of our core values is supporting local and regional charities. It's a fantastic event that brings Hull together, whatever people's backgrounds."
The Hull 10k is sponsored by KC, which will be trying to beat MKM to the finishers' tape.
Profits are donated to the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and its partner charities, which this year include HER Breast Friends and Hull Children's University.
A networking evening will take place on Tuesday 14 May.
