Jewson has hosted a series of CPD events with Local Authority Building Control (LABC) at its Newbury, Sunderland, Stockport, Birkenhead, Lincoln and Peterborough branches.

More than 250 trade professionals, architects, site managers and specifiers have attended the free events to date, including Persimmon Homes and Green Sky Architecture.

The informative seminars entitled ‘Closing the Performance Gap’ aim to explain the reasons why there is a gap between what is specified on a build programme, and what is delivered at the end of the build. As well as this, the course focuses on solutions and products, which deliver the energy performance required from specification.

“It’s been great to see such a wide range of our customers seeking information to improve their business practices,” commented Paul Maddocks, branch manager at Jewson’s Stockport branch. “In a challenging market, it is important that when customers take time out to come along to training days, the content is relevant and informative.

“The feedback we have received has been excellent and the knowledge they have gained will ensure building regulations are adhered to, and compliance in respect to energy performance of a build is met.”
