Chandlers Building Supplies has thanked everyone who has helped the team raise £12,000 so far as part of its charity appeal.

The Chandlers £50k Challenge launched at the beginning of 2013 and is aiming to raise £50,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in honour of employee Rob Sadler, a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer.

Chandlers’ staff and customers – as well as local communities – have all supported the campaign by taking part in many fundraising events from sponsored runs, football matches and charity golf days to barn dances, silent auctions and cricket matches.

Richard Skinner, commercial director at Chandlers, said: “A big thank you to everyone who has made a contribution to any of the fundraising activities that have taken place so far. Although we are focusing on raising money with our colleague Rob in mind, Cystic Fibrosis is a condition that affects the lives of families across the country, so any money raised goes to a great cause.”
