Gibbs & Dandy has launched a national competition to engage customers as part of its ongoing marketing strategy.

The ‘Best Darting Tradesman’ contest gets underway this week in a drive to build relationships with key buyers.

Five time world darts champion Eric Bristow is the face of the competition and believes that Gibbs & Dandy could uncover a darting gem.

With a focus on the local market and individual customer needs, the company is running the month-long promotion at each of its branches.

Tradesmen are encouraged to take part in the nine dart challenge with the winner from each branch receiving a signed dart board and set of darts from Gibbs & Dandy ambassador Mr Bristow, as well as two tickets to a local PDC darts event.

They could also be in with a chance of playing in a knock out cup in London, an event that will be refereed by the I’m A Celebrity legend.

Andrew Cushing, marketing director of Gibbs & Dandy, believes the tournament will bring lots of fun and no shortage of competition to each branch.

“Eric Bristow is a brand ambassador for Gibbs & Dandy and the darts events that we ran last year were extremely popular,” he said.

“Darts has become an increasingly popular sport and from talking to our customers we know that tradesmen are often dark horses when it comes to throwing the arrows.”
