Thanks to a donation of material from the Ringmer branch of Chandlers Building Supplies, the Brighton & Hove Retired Greyhound Trust has been able to repair its barn at its kennels in Albourne.

To enable the charity to carry out the work, Chandlers donated the timber and supplied the remainder of the materials at cost price.

Working alongside the national Retired Greyhound Trust, the Brighton & Hove branch is an independent charity working to ensure that as many greyhounds as possible have a happy retirement.

Nigel Williams, sales manager at the Ringmer branch of Chandlers, said: “Supporting our local community is extremely important to Chandlers and we were delighted to be able to supply the material to the charity.”
