Tool brand Stabila has a new chief executive officer (CEO) and president.

Dr Ulrich Dähne officially takes on his new role on 1 April, taking over from outgoing CEO Dr Wolfgang Schäfer, who is retiring after 14 years.

Dr Dähne is a former board director at Rittal GmbH and held the position of CEO of Siemens LV Distribution Systems. Ahead of the change of leadership, Dr Dähne, Dr Schäfer and export sales manager Frank Dreisbach recently visited the UK to meet the team at Hyde.

During his years in charge, Dr Schäfer has seen Stabila continue to grow and reinforce its position as a spirit level and laser specialist. He has overseen the introduction of many innovations in lasers and levels, most recently with the R-Type level.

Richard Hyde, CEO of Hyde – the dedicated agent for Stabila products in the UK – said: “Stabila remains one of the iconic brands in hand tools – a position reinforced during Wolfgang’s term as CEO and president. He’s been a great ally and friend to Hyde and the UK market and I’d like to thank him for all his work on our behalf, and wish him a happy and healthy retirement.”

Mr Hyde continued: “While we will miss working with Wolfgang, we hope to build on the success we’ve gained under his leadership with Uli and maintain the excellent relationship we have long held with this iconic brand.”
