Mark Andrews has joined Kent Blaxill as Colchester territory manager.
Mr Andrews has 20 years’ experience in both sales and management from his background with a national building supplies company. He joins the Colchester team promoting both the Kent Blaxill Colchester branch and its building materials Xpress lorry, which provides same-day deliveries for local builders around the town.
He said: “I am enjoying working with an independent merchant which has excellent relationships with both its suppliers and customers and focuses on service.”
Andy Whitney, sales manager, said that Mr Andrews – who is working in tandem with brick business manager Shaun Balaam – is already getting a good response. “We listened to our local customers and they asked for a proactive account manager and responsive service,” said Mr Whitney. “We have delivered both through appointing Mark and I am very pleased with the early results.”
Meanwhile, Damien Ferridge has been appointed territory manager for plumbing and heating sales in Colchester and Ipswich, which is a new position.
