Firebird Heating Solutions has appointed Stewart Ratcliff as head of its technical service team based at the Ivybridge head office.

“It’s all about being smoother, quicker and better,” said heating solutions general manager Debbie Coley. “Stewart’s appointment is a major element of growing our support services as our business picks up again after the country’s – and the industry’s – lengthy period of economic difficulties. Stewart is here with us to make a difference and he will be responsible for the activities of our growing technical support team.”

Firebird Heating Solutions has also added to its team with a new regional sales manager covering East Anglia and the South East. Daniel Fox joins Firebird from HRM Boilers with over 10-years’ experience on the technical side of the industry.

“I’m looking forward to this new challenge” Mr Fox commented. “I am impressed with Firebird’s proactive approach and its positive plans for the future. It is an exciting opportunity for me to build on the company’s strong market position, in this area especially.”

Furthermore, while completing their NVQ apprenticeships at Firebird, Ben Parlor and Jordan Seldon have become permanent additions to the company. Mr Parlor is an extra member of the technical sales and service department and is currently completing his training in this section, whereas Mr Seldon joins the warehouse team, which has also been increased in response to business growth.

“We have viewed all aspects of our HR levels and have added in key areas such as technical and sales” Ms Coley concluded. “We are committed to excellence in customer service, which means recruiting and training to ensure we do everything in our power to help our much-valued customers. We are prepared for better trading conditions so let’s hope 2014 is good for the industry.”
