Twelve volunteers from Mira Showers recently worked with local artist Mike Kingston to brighten up Sam’s House, the purpose-built home for children undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplants at Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Using painting materials and equipment donated by Travis Perkins, the team took just a day to refresh the rooms with striking images under Mr Kingston’s direction.

The 16-bedroom home is run by Mira’s nominated charity, CLIC Sargent, the cancer charity for children and young people.
