Gibbs & Dandy is hosting a free half-day event for self-build enthusiasts next month.

Run in association with self-build home provider Potton, the event will take place on Saturday 10 May at the Potton Self-Build Show Centre, and will provide aspiring self-builders with the opportunity to meet a wide range of key suppliers and view a number of self-build show homes.

Gibbs & Dandy will be on hand to talk about the benefits of working with a merchant and how to get to grips with the cost of building materials – a key first step in ensuring a self-build project stays on budget.

“We’ve seen a huge increase in self-build projects across the region in recent years as people are beginning to realise that building your own home can be not only achievable, but also very affordable,” explained Andrew Cushing, Gibbs & Dandy’s marketing director. “This event is all about overcoming any reservations potential self-builders may have, and providing the expertise and inspiration people need to get started on building their own dream house.”

Fae Perkins, Potton’s marketing manager, added: “The recent growth in the self-build market indicates that now is the perfect time for self-builders to meet with a range of suppliers to create a structured build programme. This event is an ideal starting point for self-builders to gather information directly from industry expert suppliers with years of experience behind them.”

Morning and afternoon sessions are available for attendees on the day. To reserve your place or enquire further, visit Potton’s website.
