Judith Ozcan, a senior director of the British Business Bank, has been announced as the latest keynote speaker at BMF Members Day in September.

Ms Ozcan is responsible for the design and delivery of a range of government-funded programmes that support the flow of debt-based finance into smaller UK businesses, the largest being the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme.

The Builders Merchants Federation’s (BMF) own Trade Credit Scheme, which runs until 30 September 2014, is part of the wider pilot scheme overseen by the British Business Bank.

“This promises to be an extremely interesting session,” said John Newcomb, BMF managing director. “The work of the new British Business Bank is particularly pertinent in light of the difficulties businesses in our industry have in raising finance from high-street banks. In addition to the Enterprise Finance Guarantee, their other services include Start Up Loans, the Angel CoFund and the Market Invoice and Funding Circle lending platforms.”

BMF Members Day takes on 16 and 17 September and will use the facilities at Whittlebury Hall, located next to the Silverstone race circuit in Northamptonshire. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Accelerating Growth’ and it is supported by headline sponsor ACO Academy.
