The Wiveliscombe branch of RGB Building Supplies has supported the renovation of Somerset Wildlife Trust’s new headquarters in Wellington by donating 100l of paint to the charity.

Having recently purchased the former Barnardo’s home, thanks to a generous donation left to them when a member passed away, the Trust is now busy finishing the renovation in time for an opening event this month.

Somerset Wildlife Trust has in excess of 20,000 members and more than 70 nature reserves in the county. They are committed to restoring ecosystems by creating living landscapes for wildlife and people. As a charity, they completely rely on donations and their members to generate £2million per year.

David Foot, assistant branch manager at RGB Wiveliscombe, said: “RGB recognises the challenges faced by charities and community groups who are reliant on donations to continue, which is why it’s extremely important to us to be able to offer support when we can. We were delighted to be able to donate some paint to the Somerset Wildlife Trust and we wish them every success with their renovation.”
