Ridgeons has appointed Ann Corbyn as the group’s new HR director.

Bringing with her a wealth of experience, including a specialism for human resource development (HRD) strategies, Ms Corbyn has held HR roles at a number of organisations around the UK, such as bpha, CHS Group, AMP Financial Services and Tesco.

Joining Ridgeons from affordable housing provider bpha, in her previous role Ms Corbyn was responsible for providing strategic leadership on transformational change, growth and continuous improvement projects.

Of her new role at Ridgeons, she said: “I am massively encouraged by the talent and ambition I can see within the group and the values which it upholds. In the short term I am looking forward to developing a strategy that helps us, as a group, to concentrate efforts and focus on performance, while also looking at what resources we need today, as well as for the future.

“In respect of a long-term perspective, the aim is to get Ridgeons to Investors in People Gold standard, achieve Best Companies accreditation and make sure that Ridgeons becomes the place of choice for work.”

Angela Rushforth, Ridgeons’ managing director, added: “We believe that the experience Ann will bring to the group will help us to grow and develop our people, while continuing to deliver the high standards that our customers expect.”
