In June this year, Rudridge launched its new Community Project campaign to help the local community in Gravesend.

After receiving many nominations, the community project at Northfleet Harbour, part of the Northfleet Harbour Restoration Trust, was selected to benefit from the company's expertise, materials and labour.

The team behind the restoration of Northfleet Harbour hope to eventually make it home to hundreds of yachts and powerboats as well as dozens of historic ships, boats for sale and repairs.

The project aims to encourage the community to get involved with the various projects essential to restoring the site. In order for these projects to be completed and for local schools, members of the public and dignitaries to visit the site, Rudridge will help to make the site safe and adequate to work.

Richard Milton, branch manager for the Gravesend branch of Rudridge said: “We are really excited to be getting involved with this project and helping the Northfleet Harbour Restoration Trust on their way to realising their dream of uncovering the sites fantastic history and heritage. It would be great to see the site back to its former glory as a working community harbour with historic boat restoration, fishing boats, sea scouts and more.

“On behalf of everyone at Rudridge, I would like to thank those who nominated and I wish all the local projects the very best of luck.”
