AMES UK has recently appointed Nick Jones to the role of Commercial Director, to lead on sales, customer service, marketing and product management for the integrated brands; Kelkay, La Hacienda and Apta.

Jones joined AMES UK in June, having spent the past 10 years in another sector dominated by strong independent retailers. He has served in sales, marketing, customer service and product management roles in the Kitchen and Bathroom retail sector. This has given him a unique perspective on the opportunities and threats associated with independent retailing.

In his new role as Commercial Director, Jones is already overseeing a 30% growth in the AMES business for 2021, and says that he now has clear visibility of further double-digit growth in the order book for 2022. With a goal of £150 million revenue within 3 years, he’s planning on ways to extend that growth even further through a focus on new product development and introductions.

“Following an essential range rationalisation programme, my focus now is on new products and the development of a strong pipeline of innovation. Our three-year plan will see a channel-specific product introduction strategy to create and protect value in our four brands to the benefit of all our customers,” said Jones.
