Cromar Building Products has announced its acquisition of the ‘original’ waterproofing repair brand Acrypol Products.

This is the first acquisition of another business for the East Yorkshire Company. Cromar, which has a turnover of £27 million, is expecting a big boost from the transaction.

Acrypol was founded in 1986 with a mission to provide quality roof repair and waterproofing products for the trade. Its origiand and flagship product, Acrypol+, is recognised as the quality benchmark and is sold into more than 2,000 stockists throughout the UK. The range was expanded over the years to include complimentary products in order to fulfil customer demand.

Mike Marshall, Managing Director of Cromar (pictured), commented, “Acrypol is such a renowned name within our industry, it will make an excellent addition to the existing Cromar family of products.

“We are really looking forward to developing the Acrypol brand name further and consulting with the Acrypol specialists to develop even more great roofing products for the trade.”

Wayne Morgan, Sales Director of Acrypol, said “Acrypol has over 30 years of recognised excellence and we cannot think of a better company to take this brand onto the next level. With the combined knowledge and customer base of the two businesses the future is definitely looking bright.”

All orders will continue to go through the Acrypol office in Warrington.
