Smith Brothers Stores has recently welcomed several new recruits to its team in a variety of roles.

Andrew Teer joins as Transport Operations Manager based at Head Office. He recently worked for Card Factory in Wakefield, as a Fleet/Transport Manager on a year fixed term contract. His CV also includes working for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Carillion PLC, G4S Cash Solutions and finally as a self-employed Transport Management Consultant for a couple of years on various contracts within the Transport Industry.

Teer said: “I am delighted to have joined the business at this exciting time of growth and expansion. I hope to bring my knowledge and experiences gained throughout my career and add this. I am going use to the wealth of knowledge and experience already in the team to continue providing a professional and competent transport service to the business, our customers and our suppliers.”

Andy Woodrow joins as Area Sales Manager and will be working from the Northampton Branch. He previously worked for Sanha as a Technical Sales Manager for three years selling press fittings and tube. Woodrow said: “My plans at Smith Brothers are to grow sales in the Northampton area and to further develop my career.”

Craig Morrison was promoted from Warehouse and Trade counter person to Area Sales Manager at the SBS Northampton branch. He has been working for Smith Brothers for nearly four years and is looking forward to the new challenge. Morrison said: “Being an Area Sales Manager requires a totally new set of skills and will be a steep learning curve for me. My plans are to jump in with both feet, listen, learn and improve a little each day to make a positive difference to the Northampton branch and the overall company.”

Davina Bhatt (pictured) will be working at Head Office as a Business Systems Analyst. Before taking on the role at SBS, she previously worked at The Access Group for two years as an implementation consultant. She said: “I plan to work alongside the IT team, by helping with upcoming IT projects and successfully implement them to make a positive difference to Smith Brothers operations.”

John Curley will be working as a Product Specialist Manager who will be promoting and providing technical support and assistance for Aquatechnik, Isotubi and Frabo. He will become the lead contact for the Heathrow (London West), Northampton, Peterborough, Rainham (London East) and Southampton branches. Previously he worked for a company called Monodraught as a Technical Consultant. The company specialised within the heating and ventilation side of M&E projects. Curley said: “my plans at SBS are to form strong relationships with specified consultants and contractors to ensure they get the right solution and excellent support from Smith Brothers.”
