Grant UK has donated £10,000 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a local charity to the company that Grant UK staff has supported since 2019.

Despite the usual fundraising activities like bake-offs, staff events and raffles being limited during 2020, the Grant team managed to raise £10,000 for their chosen charity, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

A Valentine’s Day Bake Sale raised £100. In addition, Grant UK’s Head of Marketing, Anna Wakefield, ran the virtual Bath Half Marathon and fundraised £810 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance through her JustGiving page. Other fundraising initiatives, including the selling of old company equipment and furniture, also helped contribute to the total.

Wakefield siad: “2020 was an incredibly difficult year for charities in particular. Despite the pandemic and restrictions, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance has continued to deliver vital medical assistance and support to critically ill and injured patients throughout.

“Charity funding is more important than ever and Grant UK is thrilled to present this latest donation to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and we are also pleased to confirm that our support for this local charity will continue into 2021.”

WAA Fundraising Manager, Des Regan, added: “We’d like to thank everyone at Grant UK for their continued support for our lifesaving charity. Wiltshire Air Ambulance has been operating on the front line throughout the coronavirus pandemic and that wouldn’t be possible without the support of generous donations from the public and companies like Grant UK. This donation of £10,000 is essentially like Grant UK funding our operations for a whole day – which is a tremendous effort.”
