They provide an effective solution for rainscreen applications on “relevant buildings” above 18 metres in England and Wales and certain building types and heights in Scotland as part of an A1 or A2 class façade system.
K-Roc Rainscreen Slab and K-Roc Rainscreen Slab HD achieve thermal conductivities of 0.034 W/mK and 0.033 W/mK, respectively. K-Roc Rainscreen Slab HD also features a glass tissue based facing which can help to improve the overall airtightness of external walls, as well as improving a building’s appearance during construction. Where higher levels of fabric performance are required, both products can be installed in a single build-up.
K-Roc Rainscreen Slab is one of several insulation solutions from Kingspan which have been successfully tested as part of complete façade systems to BS 8414-2: 2015 + A1: 2017, under the performance criteria within BR135. Both K-Roc Rainscreen Slab and Rainscreen Slab HD are manufactured under an environmental management system which is certified to ISO 14001:2015. In addition, the products have been certified as ‘Good’ under the rigorous responsible sourcing standard BES 6001.
