Marsh Industries has launched its ‘Miles for Smiles’ Christmas fundraising campaign, with the help of a snowy mascot

The mascot in question is a snowman called Sooey. Between 16 and 20 November it will be travelling 20,000 miles across the UK with the Marsh Team.

Members of the public spotting Sooey during his "mission" are invited to share pictures and messages on the company's social media channels using the hashtag #SooeyMarsh.

If Sooey is deemed successful, Marsh Industries will donate £1 per mile covered between the following four UK Children’s Hospitals:

  • Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity
  • Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, Cardiff
  • Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity
  • Helping Hand - Charity to The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children

Mission Chief, Steve Boyer, said: "2020 has been a year that none of us will forget in a hurry. The importance of helping others wherever you can and giving to those who need it most has been vital this year.

“We’re hoping Sooey can complete his mission and raise some much needed funds for UK Children’s Hospitals, as well as raising some smiles for our valued customers and colleagues.”

People can keep track of Sooey's daily progress at marshindustries.co.uk/sooey and on social media.
