Aggregate Industries has appointed Shaun Elliott as the new General Manager of its Midlands asphalt division.

Elliott succeeds Gary Brennand, who was recently named as the new General Manager of Express Asphalt.

Elliott will be responsible for growing the construction supplier’s burgeoning asphalt operations in the Midlands, as well as spearheading the highest standard of customer service.

Having joined Aggregate Industries in 2011 as a Procurement Manager, Elliott has risen through the ranks to a number of senior positions, including his current role as General Manager for Charcon Construction Solutions and Head of Supply Chain for Concrete Products. As a result, Elliott has built experience across concrete products, supply chain, logistics and procurement.

Elliott will report directly into Chris Hudson, Managing Director of Asphalt.

Commenting on his appointment, Elliott said: “I am excited to take over the leadership of the Midlands Asphalt division at such a pivotal time for the Aggregate Industries business. Despite the construction materials sector facing ongoing challenges due to the pandemic, through our consistent high-quality asphalt supply, there’s also exciting opportunities where we can make life easier and more convenient for our valued customers.”

Chris Hudson added: “I’d like to congratulate Shaun on his new position. Asphalt plays an important part of our business strategy and with Shaun in the role, I am confident we will be able to further grow the business and continue to supply the highest level of products and services to our customers - who remain at the heart of everything we do.”
