Up to 10 jobs will be created in Bristol when the builders' merchants moves to an new location later this year.

Selco Builders Warehouse will move into a new 140,000 sq ft site on Cater Road in Bishopsworth on December 14. With more than 12,500 building supplies and materials in stock, this will become the largest branch in Selco’s 69-strong UK network.

This new site will offer a dedicated Click & Collect area, a café and a wide distribution area for customer deliveries.

It means Selco will leave its Sheene Road premises which has been home to its Bedminster branch for the last 25 years.

Howard Luft, Chief Executive of Selco, said: “The current site has served us well and it will be sad to leave but this is a fantastic opportunity to move to a new location which will offer our customer base of professional tradespeople and businesses an even better experience.

“The internal space at Cater Road alone is more than double the size of the old site and there is the added advantage of a huge external yard.

“We are delighted to be creating up to 10 new full-time positions and offer exciting career opportunities to people in the Bristol area.”

Selco’s other Bristol branch, based off Gipsy Patch Lane in Filton, will remain in operation.
