Keylite Roof Windows (Keylite) is challenging its Irish merchant partners and friends to #KickItWithKeylite, in the name of raising money for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin.

Would-be participants are invited to record themselves kicking, throwing, putting or batting a ball through a Keylite Roof Window, no matter their chosen sport.

Individuals then have to share their attempt on social media, along with the hashtag #KickItWithKeylite, while nominating three friends to get involved, and make a donation through Keylite’s JustGiving pages.

GAA all-star Cathal McShane, presenter Adrian Logan, and Rugby Union star Tommy Bowe have already taken part in the challenge.

Keylite has pledged £5,000 to both charities in addition to the funds raised by participants and encourages anyone that watches the challenges to get involved and lend their support by donating.

Children’s Health Foundation is a new unified children’s healthcare charity that exists to raise funds to support the vital, life-saving work of Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres.

The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice works both in the community and in their buildings to provide high-quality, person-centred, holistic palliative care to infants, children and adults who are adjusting to living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, up to their passing and into family bereavement support.

Cathal McShane, GAA player and Specification Executive at Keylite, commented: “The Keylite team and I are so excited to be kicking off this initiative! These are two fantastic charities that do amazing work across Ireland, so to be able to support them in fundraising – and in such a fun way – is an absolute pleasure.

“We can’t wait to see all the videos we get in through #KickItWithKeylite – we hope to see all Irish merchants, small and large, getting involved!”
